Dura-Lar is a clear archival quality film that is ideal for this project. This film is widely available in any art supply stores. I have used medium thickness (5 mil) clear flim. It always lays flat.
Materials:
Dura-Lar film (cut to 10X7 and 4X6)
alcohol based ink
felt
stamp base with velcro (available in any art/craft store)
pressed flowers
double sided thin tape
Procedure:

On a blank stamp base with velcro, attach a piece of felt.

Squeeze a drop of alcohol based ink on the felt like on the left. Sqeeze a drop of another color like on the right.
Alcohol based ink dry very fast. Need to work fast.

Place the Dura-Lar 4X6 piece on a piece of scratch paper. Stamp on the edges. Go through the edges a few times to get the effect.

Fold the 7X10 Dura-Lar piece into a 5X7 card.
Place the 4X6 piece inside of the card.

Glue the pressed flower design on the face of the card. Note: Do not design outside of the color boarder. Note: Since the card is clear, make sure the design is not over complicated with overlap. The bottom of flowers/leaves are seen from inside of the card. Make sure your glue job is neat (one tiny drop on strategic locations).

Take the 4X6 piece out. Place thin double sided tape all around close to the edge like on the left.
Take off the protective piece of the double tape. Place the 4X6 piece on top of the card. Make sure the design is centered inside of this piece.

Finished card with a stamped wording or handwrite wording with permenant marker.
One must use permenant marker to write on this card. It is crystal clear that showcase the pressed flowers perfectly.
